Yanolja, a global travel platform led by CEO Sujin Lee, has released its 2022 consolidated financial report.

Yanolja's revenue under the Korea International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) surged by 83% from KRW 330.2 billion in 2021 to KRW 604.5 billion in 2022. This remarkable growth was primarily driven by the stable sales performance of the Yanolja Platform, robust expansion of the Yanolja Cloud Division, and synergies from the Interpark acquisition. As demonstrated by its adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization), excluding amortization of intangible assets and stock option expenses, of KRW 47.3 billion, Yanolja continued to be highly profitable despite aggressive investments in cloud solutions to prepare for the post-pandemic era.

Taking a closer look by Division, The Yanolja Platform Division saw revenue of KRW 364.4 billion, a 36% increase from the previous year, driven by steady growth in the domestic accommodation sector. As the leading travel platform in Korea, it continued to maintain stable sales growth and profitability with an adjusted EBITDA of KRW 68.6 billion.

Yanolja Cloud achieved significant growth, with revenue reaching KRW 109.5 billion, a phenomenal 225% increase from the previous year. This growth was driven by higher cloud solution and channeling sales, as well as the growth of Yanolja Cloud's member companies. While the Cloud Division's adjusted EBITDA was KRW -19.9 billion, reflecting the initial investment costs of newly incorporated member companies, the operating profit margin rose 11.1 percentage points compared to 2021. The Division aims to continue to improve profitability through an expansion of its top-line, driving further growth and success for Yanolja Cloud.

Interpark's sales in the package tour sector saw a slower recovery than anticipated due to the prolonged impact of the pandemic, particularly in the first half of 2022. However, from the second half of the year, Interpark saw a partial recovery in flight sales and a rapid increase in entertainment sales after the lifting of pandemic restrictions, resulting in total revenue of KRW137.1 billion for the year. Despite this growth, the division's adjusted EBITDA was KRW -3.5 billion, likely indicating that overseas travel has not yet fully rebounded to pre-pandemic levels.

Despite external challenges including a global economic slowdown and high interest rates, Yanolja has achieved both quantitative and qualitative growth through the diversification of its portfolio in the overseas travel and domestic leisure sectors while maintaining stable growth in the domestic accommodation sector. Yanolja is committed to continuing this growth trajectoryand solidifying its position as a key global player beyond being Korea's number one travel platform through the continued growth and success of its global cloud solutions business.
