Yanolja steps up to make Korea a tourism powerhous

Yanolja (CEO Sujin Lee) steps up to make Korea a tourism powerhouse with 'Yanolja Research.'

Yanolja launched Yanolja Research, Korea's first private research center specializing in the travel industry, in collaboration with Purdue University's CHRIBA (Center for Hospitality & Retail Industries Business Analytics) and Kyunghee University's H&T Analytics Center. Yanolja Research aims to contribute to the global expansion of K-Travel and the development of the Korean economy by integrating Yanolja's strengths as the largest depository of leisure inventory and high-quality travel data in Korea, with the research capabilities of Purdue University and Kyunghee University.

Yanolja Research conducts research from the perspective of suppliers and consumers throughout the travel process and researches the policies of governments and international organizations related to the travel industry. The Center seeks to contribute to public interest, and improving data accessibility by issuing quarterly trend reports and building a database.

Yanolja Research's work on global industry trends backed by data will enhance the global competitiveness of the Korean travel industry and foster the travel industry to be a major contributor to the national economy. In particular, by creating a link between the globally in-demand K-content and travel, Yanolja Research will strive to make Korea a popular travel destination and support Korea's travel technology to lead the global market through its research of digital transformation trends.

Bochan Bae, CEO of Yanolja, said, “Yanolja Research is a project that Yanolja has long been preparing for to contribute to the development of the domestic travel industry and the national economy, stemming from our sense of responsibility as the leading leisure platform in Korea.” He added, “As a research center, we plan to spare no support so that we can conduct research in the public interest for 'Korea, a tourism powerhouse,' and share this information with various stakeholders.
