Yanolja Cloud (CEO Jongyoon Kim), a global software-as-a-service (SaaS) company based on artificial intelligence, signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the development of the global travel and leisure industry with Amadeus, a global airline platform and travel IT company.

The signing ceremony took place at the Yanolja HQ in Seoul on Monday, 14 November, with key stakeholders including Jongyoon Kim (CEO of Yanolja Cloud), David Peller (Executive Vice President of Yanolja Cloud) Fred Barou (Senior Vice President Online Travel and Market Strategy Asia Pacific at Amadeus), and Joe Choi (Director of Online Travel North Asia at Amadeus) in attendance. The Letter of Intent marks the beginning of the two companies' joint efforts to build a comprehensive collaboration framework to facilitate the digital transformation of the global leisure industry and revitalize a stagnant market.

The two companies aim to create a digital-based global leisure environment through the ongoing exchange of solutions technology, know-how, and expertise. Yanolja Cloud will advance its solutions technology and services by integrating its proprietary hospitality infrastructure with Amadeus' travel/flight search and automation technologies. Parties plan to exchange business strategy roadmaps and data to find collaborative solutions and forge a mutually beneficial and complementary relationship.

Yanolja Cloud and Amadeus will share their respective lodging, concert, leisure, flight inventories and big data driven customized customer content recommendation technology. This will create an environment where global customers of both platforms can enjoy a variety of travel and leisure content with greater convenience. The two companies will further explore opportunities to strengthen mutual synergy through joint projects including linked on/offline payments between the platforms, sharing of customer marketing strategies, and exchange of experts from each company.

“This partnership is a key step in our commitment to giving back and providing a better leisure experience for the industry and all travelers,” said Fred Barou, Senior Vice President Online Travel and Market Strategy Asia Pacific at Amadeus, adding that, “Amadeus, together with Yanolja Cloud and its member companies – including Yanolja and Interpark - will continue to create opportunities for exchange and create an innovative future for the travel and leisure industry building on the foundation of the data and networks of the two companies.”

David Peller, Executive Vice President of Yanolja Cloud said, “The global travel and hospitality industry has been highly disrupted by events of the past couple of years. Now, more than ever, the industry is seeking transformative solutions to enable differentiated customer experiences, while enhancing operational efficiency.” Peller added, The collaboration with Amadeus, a leader in global airline platform and travel technology, will serve as an opportunity to accelerate the digital transformation of the global travel and hospitality industry, and to meet the evolving needs of the industry around the world.”
