Global SaaS (Space as a service) company Yanolja Cloud (CEO Jongyoon Kim) launched the guest room management system, Y FLUX GRMS.

Yanolja Cloud implemented the 'Smart Room Management System' that integrates Cloud- and IoT-based Y FLUX GRMSㆍhardware of Mercuryㆍthe AI technology of KT's 'Giga Genie Hotel', an AI speaker. The Smart Room Management System supports high efficiency of hotel management and the easy and convenient guest stay experience. Starting its commercialization in Korea in December of this year, the number of hotels that apply the Smart Room Management System is planned to be expanded.

Through the Smart Room Management System that Y FLUX GRMS integrated, guests can experience the easy and convenient 'keyless' stay environment. When guest's check-in, the guests get 'Y FLUX Pass (hereinafter Pass)' on their smartphone through a mobile link provided by hotels. With Pass, the guests can unlock the door of the room and control elevators with their smartphones, without the physical room keys. The guest provided the Pass by hotels can directly and digitally share the Pass with those who stay together so that they keep it safe. Through the Pass, the guests can control the temperature and lighting of the room and deliver the requests such as 'Do Not Disturb', 'Makeup Room' and 'Valet Parking' to the hotels.

The efficiency of hotel management is also improved. The hotel employees can check the status of the room and requests from guests with their mobile devices – without limitation of the places. Based on the IoT sensors installed in each room, hotels can figure out the existence of guests in the room and enhance power efficiency. In addition, hotel security is further strengthened by managing the opening and closing status of guest rooms as separate records.

Based on the innovative SaaS (Software as a service) technology, Yanolja Cloud aims to lead the digital transformation of the industry built for the spaces including hospitality facilities, managing all progress of Y FLUX GRMS from its development to commercialization. Y FLUX GRMS' commercial launch is expected to expand the base of the global hotel solution business, the one pillar of global space(spatial) business.

Yanolja Cloud and KT have been cooperating for the digital transformation of the hospitality industry. Two companies signed an MOU in 2019 for the 'development of next-generation room information system' and developed a 'Smart Room Management System' that applied cutting-edge technologies to the hotel rooms. Last year, Yanolja Cloud and KT tested Y FLUX RMS to enhance the technology.
