Yanolja (CEO & Founder LEE Su Jin), South Korea's leading travel and leisure platform, invested in KAFLIX, the Korean rent-a-car mobility platform.
KAFLIX operates Korea's first car-sharing economy service called 'JEJU PASS' and 'MOSAICAR', a car subscription service patented as Korean first based on the rent-a-car-specialized algorithm. In addition, KAFLIX leads the trend of the mobility industry with real-time rental car reservation service utilizing cloud ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution.
Yanolja decided to invest in KAFLIX to consider the synergy of KAFLIX's local network and cloud-based systems and Yanolja's travel-related inventory. With this investment, Yanolja has become the second shareholder of KAFLIX. Yanolja and KAFLIX plan to strengthen mobility services in the Yanolja platform and adopt car-sharing services utilizing data-based algorithms for the global market.
First, by using an AI-based cloud solution, Yanolja can predict the demand for rental cars from pricing to vehicle type in advance. Through this, it is expected to provide stable services at a reasonable price even during peak season. In addition, by utilizing the characteristics of rental cars with a high possibility of cross-selling, Yanolja's services such as accommodation, leisure, flight, and restaurants, will be introduced through various channels. And a service platform specialized for Jeju Island will be showcased on its travel super app. Furthermore, Yanolja also plans to expand the global business of contactless rental car solutions, focusing on popular overseas islands tour sites.
